Lost

Song Title: Lost
Written By: Justin Greeley

Justin Greeley is from Upper Island Cove, Newfoundland, and was the youngest member of Greeley’s Reel. Music has been a major part of Justin’s life since he was a little boy. His first instrument was the drums. His love for music was evident in the early days when Justin would beat on pots and pans in the kitchen and make “music.” When Justin turned 12, his music ability expanded when he began playing the button accordion. Since that, he has learned numerous other instruments including the guitar, bass, mandolin, bodhran, and so forth. Justin was a multi-instrumentalist in Greeley’s Reel as well as a vocalist.

In 2005, Greeley’s Reel released their self-titled debut album, followed by their second album, entitled “The Valley Road Sessions” in 2008. In November, 2010, Greeley’s Reel embarked on a journey to record their third studio album, but this time in front of a live audience at O’Reilly’s Irish Pub in St. John’s, NL. Released in June, 2011, the album, like the previous two, was proven to be very successful with material from all three albums receiving regular airplay nationwide on local radio stations.

During the summer of 2008, Greeley’s Reel self-wrote a hockey anthem in honor of local hockey hero, Daniel Cleary, of Riverhead, Harbour Grace; the first Newfoundlander to ever win “hockey’s holy grail” the Stanley Cup. The song received not only local, but national and international attention, being played all over Newfoundland radio, Canadian broadcasting Corporation (CBC) Television, NTV, as well as special presentation features by Fox Sports Network (FSN), The Score (Cabbie on the Street), and the NHL Network.

On The Piano

Since no one has given me an original yet, I'll post another of mine.

This is my first and only piano song to date. I had no experience playing the piano until about a week before I recorded this. Bought my first keyboard/piano at Costco and tried playing along with the built in songs. So, the first song I ever learned was "Fur Elise" by Beethoven.

Hope you enjoy, Leave a comment! And send me some of your originals.

I'll Start This Off

My name is Josh Best, I've been writing and recording music in my room for years. I made this blog for people to submit original music with the hopes that many people will be able to enjoy their talents.

I wrote this song about 2 years ago. I play the guitar and do all vocals, remember, everything was recorded in my room.

This is an Original song called "Stolen"
